In 2024 Michael Regan retired as Deputy Probation Officer III with the Kern County Probation Department, where he was solely responsible for the development and training of all the Kern County Probation Department’s Evidence Based Programing and Treatment. His educational background includes a master’s in science degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Criminal Justice (UCCI) where he received mentoring and training under Edward J. Latessa, PhD. Michael Regan has over 19 years of experience working as Deputy Probation Officer with a demonstrated successful history of designing effective Evidence Based Programing. Michael has 29 years of experience in the field of research and education in corrections. He has received specialized training and education in the causes of recidivism and the interventions proven to be effective in reducing recidivism in corrections. Michael Regan also has experience in developing correctional programs designed to reduce the incidence and impact of recidivism in youth and adults. He is Skilled in Correctional Research, Designing Correctional Treatment Programs, Case Management, Criminology, Risk Assessments, and Criminal Investigations.
